It was clean yet not transparent

It was clean in a good location

I recently booked a stay for my parents, who are over 60, and thought we had a good deal with a standard room. However, the room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator access. It would have been helpful if the property had mentioned this detail upfront. To get a room on the first floor, they had to pay an extra 800 baht per night. Additionally, although the booking stated that only one room was left, there were many empty rooms upon our arrival. This experience was quite disappointing.

Wonderful

It is a good location and has a great staff of service mind. It is a small hotel, but I feel comfortable with modern decoration.

The room is not soundproof. Every morning, I hear others running in the hallway and doors slamming loudly. My next door is the gym room so that I can listen to the dumbells dropping all-day.

Fabulous

Great rooms. Modern, clean and comfortable. Loved the pool, bar beach area. So beautifully done. Great cocktails and bar food. Helpful staff. Great location on beach where you can walk to other beach front restaurants.

Lots of unused potential - no recommendation (at the moment)

Very clean rooms. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. Lots of food - all different kinds available.

Be aware that right next to the Vayna a big hotel is in construction. So in case your rooms faces this side you will have the full construction noise all day long (even at night). Unfortunately this is also if you are at the pool and beach side. You cannot account the hotel for this, but this noise is extremely annoying. The hotel has a gym, opening hours are from 10am - 7pm. But even at 11 and 12 the room is locked - we do not understand why guests cannot use the gym prior to the breakfast. The pool and beach are (including sunbeds) not enough for the amount of hosted guests. Sunchairs are early fully occupied. Some guests reserve a sunbed bevor breakfast and come back later at around 12 pm. In addition, the hotel lacks cleanliness in the hotel area. Especially the beach is not being taken care of and also the poolside could be a lot cleaner. There is no passion from the staff - neither at the lobby, nor at the restaurant. In general, the hotel has a lot of potential but unfortunately they don’t use their potential. We cut due to the amount of cons our stay and used the hotel right next door.

Overall very nice location, great pool and breakfast.

The location is vey nice! The resort is clean and new and the pool is amazing. You have a nice view on the ocean when laying in or at the pool. The Beach itself was not the nicest but we went there during rainy season myabe during teh main season teh beach is nicer and cleaner. The included breakfast was also really great, a lot of variety. The staff also ordered us a taxo to get around the island and was really helpful in general.

The only thing that was not perfect was a very loud construction site right next to teh hotel, but I think in a few weeks or months the construction will be finished. The beach was also a ltte dirtx and the water was not clear but that was because it is rainy season and nothing the hotel could change.

Great stay

Efficiently run - friendly staff. Spacious and well lit bedroom with all facilities - walk in shower, fridge, etc. Breakfast was varied and great. Located on lovely beach - strongly recommended.

The view from bedroom was quite limited - with major building work in progress at adjacent hotel site.

Great value for money! We stayed 10 nights!

The staff were amazing, sweet and helpful. There is a private beach and a nice swimming pool. The rooms are very comfortable and clean.

The breakfast is very simple.

Relaxing stay

The room was clean and beds comfortable. The pool area and restaurant/bar were also very nice. And the massage by the beach so relaxing! Staff everywhere were kind and helpful.

The hotel is in a calmer area tho it wasn’t a bad thing. There was construction next to the hotel so the noice bothered at times.

Wonderful

The hotel is very good and located on a nice beach. The hotel staff is super friendly and do their outmost to help with booking scooters, taxis, transfers, etc. The pool area is lovely and the massage offered was very good. The breakfast buffet was large (although a lot of cooked food) and service perfect. We had one dinner at the hotel when they had their BBQ night, which was lovely.

Initially the wifi was bad but they have different wifies (some that require passwords), so do try to ask for the password - it worked for us. The pool area get full quite quickly but there are additional sunbeds that can be put on the beach. I would, however, have liked the opportunity to have umbrellas on the beach. Overall, everything was very good though and these are just minor things.

Good

property was nice. the layout is a long slim rectangle. They set up a nice walkway down the side and the rear has the beach front pool and dining. The security guard was very friendly. Staff overall were friendly.

I requested a quiet room but I was put right next to the first stairwell and next to the housekeeping center. The noises in the stairway and hall could easily be heard in my room early in the morning.

I believe the hotel is rated as a 3-star hotel, so I believe we got what we paid for and expected.

Nice location. Pool area is nice although there is very little shade for sitting around the pool or on the beach. Staff at check-in were superb and very helpful.

There was an odor in the room that persisted for our entire stay. The odor was coming from the toilet/drains in the bathroom. Construction on a neighboring resort was loud at times. Bar staff could have been more friendly.
